Privacy Policy

This describes what information GatsToGo collects and how it's used, for both Plants (the gas businesses using GatsToGo) and their End Users (the customers who buy gas through a Plant's page).

What we collect

• Plant owners and staff: name, phone number, role, and a securely hashed password or PIN (we never store these in plain text).
• End Users: phone number, and purchase records: the amount, size, timestamp, and payment channel of each order. We do not require End Users to create an account.
• Payment information: handled entirely by Paystack. GatsToGo never sees or stores full card numbers.

How we use it

• To operate the service: processing orders, running the staff terminal, and showing a Plant its own sales and cash data.
• To verify an End User's identity when looking up a past receipt, by sending a one-time code to the phone number they provide.
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the platform.

What we don't do

We don't sell personal data to third parties. We don't share an End User's information across different Plants. Each Plant only sees the purchases made on its own page.

Data sharing

Payment data is shared with Paystack, as required to process a transaction. We don't share data with any other third party except where required by law.

Data retention

We keep purchase and account records for as long as a Plant's account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting and legal purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, subject to what we're legally required to keep (such as transaction records). Contact us using the details on our About page.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do.
